Computers and computing are ubiquitous in
modern society. In nearly every part of modern
life, the hardware and software of computer
technology enable the delivery of services and
products of higher quality to more people in less
time than would otherwise be possible. The department of Computer Engineering's aim is to educate students to be the driving force behind the movement of our nation into information age, affecting transportation, finance, health care, defense, industrial plants, planning, management, research, education, design, cinema and arts and most other aspects of modern life. This department was established in 1973 as part of the Mathematics department at The University of Isfahan. It became an independent department in 1985 and then joined the faculty of engineering in 1988. It offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in both hardware and software engineering. |
